Story
On 4th September 2021, Claire Womersley, Eleanor Duprez, Henry Clack from HFW and Wilco Alberda of Smit will be taking part in the Graig 100 charity bike ride in aid of Mission to Seafarers.
The team will be part of a group of 125 riders, cycling around 110km with 1,300m elevation, departing from Cardiff, cycling up Graigwen mountain and into the Welsh hills. The team are currently in training to build up their leg muscles before the big day - stepping up their fitness levels from city commuting and leisurely rides around the countryside to an intense cycle with unenviable elevations!
They have decided to put themselves through this gruelling race in aid of Mission to Seafarers, a charity which provides help and support to all seafarers globally, who work tirelessly for extended periods away from their family, friends and home comforts to keep our global economy afloat.
These last 12 months have been unprecedented for us all but particularly those at sea. 1.5 million seafarers have experienced daily impact on their working lives as a result of the pandemic whilst they continue to support the shipping industry. Your donation could help support the physical & mental health of those seafarers and their families who have been affected.
Any donation you make, big or small, will be gratefully received and will make a huge difference.
We wish all of our riders the best of luck!
