As you know, Hey Lola is run by us: sisters, Anna & Bex. Unfortunately Bex was diagnosed with obstructive Bowel Cancer. She spent 4.5 weeks in Intensive Care in January/February 2021, having had two emergency and life-saving operations. She then went on to have FOLFOX Chemo and is now nearly at the end of eight months of gruelling treatment.

Our 'Chin Up' design was the last Bex did before she became very poorly and we are using it to raise money for Cancer Research.

We'd like to be completely transparent in our donations on your behalf to Cancer Research. 

Throughout February 2021, we donated £5 for every item sold from our 'Chin Up' range. Having reached our goal of £2,500 (which we thought was quite ambitious!!) we will now be donating £2 for each T-shirt, £3 for each Sweatshirt and £5 for each Cowl Necked Hoodie. This reduction in donations for lower priced items is to allow our business to return to a reasonable level of profitability whilst we support Bex. 

We will continue to cover Just Giving's fees - a processing fee of 1.9% plus 0.20p per transaction - for all donations we make in this way so that every penny we donate reaches Cancer Research. We will limit our donations to once per month, to ensure that we pay as few transaction fees as possible. We cannot claim GiftAid on our transactions as we are raising money as part of a commercial transaction.

However, you are also able to make donations directly to Cancer Research via this fund which can include Gift Aid (if you qualify).
