We give vital support to small charities to make Hertfordshire better for everyone

Story

A High Sheriff is appointed by Her Majesty The Queen for one year. The Office of High Sheriff is over 1,000 years old and the key role is to support those involved in the administration of justice and in the voluntary sector.

Sally Burton is serving as High Sheriff of Hertfordshire in 2022/23. During her year in office Sally would like to raise awareness of the the challenges faced by the vulnerable during the pandemic, especially those affected by problems caused by addiction to drugs and alcohol. She will also seek to support the local judiciary, police and prison services.

Sally will work closely with Hertfordshire Community Foundation who manage the High Sheriff's Fund. Each year the fund provides support to community and voluntary groups in Hertfordshire.

All funds raised during her year in office will go towards local organisations working to support those in need. Your donation will make a huge difference to our communities and in making Hertfordshire a better place to live for everyone. Thank you.
