RACE FOR LIFE
On the week beginning 19th of June, the whole of KS3 stood up to Cancer in a 5K run around Central Square. It was a relaxed yet inspiration event- being given the freedom to run, walk or jog your way around. It was also a motivational run, each one of us knowing someone who was or still is battling cancer. The just under 3 miles run was a realistic challenge making it motivational and that little bit more encouraging to achieve. All of KS3 successfully completed the event meaning that they had lived up to the challenge they had set themselves on their sponsorship form, raising money for Cancer Research. I think we would all like to take this opportunity to thank the PE department (Miss Fusi, Miss Rodwell and Ms. Minter-Green) for organising this incredible event that brought year 7,8 and 9 together in a race: to superseding our own targets, to raising money for charity and to standing up against ​​​​Cancer​
