Story
On August the 6th, four friends and I are cycling across the Pyrenees. We are starting from Perpignan (on the mediterranean side) and finishing in Santander which will be a grand total of 620 miles (1000km) over 10 days. We won’t be avoiding any hills and our overall elevation gain will be a whopping 70,500ft which is like cycling up Everest 2.5 times!
Alongside this being a personal challenge, I want to raise money for Brain Tumour Research, as people I’m close to have been affected and are been affected by this type of disease.
Brain tumours are indiscriminate; they can affect anyone at any age. Yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.
My aim is to raise a pound for every mile I cycle so any contribution would help me achieve my goal and go towards a great cause.
