Story
Just when you thought you'd seen the last of me in
leggings, somehow I've ended up with a place in the London Marathon once again
- this time through the ballot. Lady Luck certainly is a cruel mistress...
This year, it will be the Alzheimer's Society who will be the beneficiary of my
toil and pain as I drag myself along the streets of the Capital on 26 April 2015. I was absolutely blown away by the support I received last
year, both on the day and the months leading up to the big day; I honestly
couldn't have finished or raised over £3,000 without your help and I'm going to
need it again to get me through a repeat of what was the best/worst thing I've
ever done.
All donations are immensely appreciated so please give what you can. Not only
will the money go towards helping those suffering from dementia, but it will also
provide support to the 670,000 carers around the UK who dedicate their time to
care for dementia sufferers. To find out more about the work of the Alzheimer’s
Society, check out their website: http://www.alzheimers.org.uk/
As ever, donating through this JustGiving page is the safest and easiest way to sponsor me, and like last year I’ll also be setting up a Guess2Give page again so you can wager on how long it will take me to get round. Keep your eyes peeled for a few fundraising events too.
So here’s to another five months of 6am runs, constantly sore legs, a (semi) self-imposed ban on alcohol and Runner’s Nipple. See you on the The Mall!
