Story
On 13th October I will be running the Royal Parks half marathon for the Swaziland Charitable Trust (SCT). The Trust works for the people of Eswatini (formerly Swaziland) supporting projects in education, social welfare and agriculture but particularly with supporting children orphaned by HIV/AIDS. Those of us running this year are raising funds to support students going on to tertiary education, children that are orphaned and vulnerable and who the Trust have already supported through primary and secondary education.
Education makes a difference to everyone, but all too often it is not available to those in developing nations. I have seen the difference that the SCT makes first hand and would encourage you check out their work here: Our Projects – Swaziland Charitable Trust
To give you some idea of how a donation came make a difference:
• £70 will pay Primary School fees for a year.
• £400 will pay High School expenses for a year.
• £1,000 will buy roofing materials for a community-built classroom.
• £4,000 will buy the building materials for a school classroom.
Thank you very much for your support!
