Story
Chris was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in his thirties and lived with this for over 30 years. Despite the condition, he continued to live life to the full doing the things that he loved such as travelling, playing bridge, computers, gardening, crosswords and car boot sales.
Parkinson's is a progressive neurological condition affecting 1 in 500 people. There's currently no cure for Parkinson's and we don't yet know why people get the condition. Parkinson’s UK are working hard to change this. They are a great charity that not only funds research but provides essential support to those suffering from the disease.
Chris fought strong until the end, sadly losing his battle in February 2017. He leaves behind a loving family that would like to fund raise for Parkinson's UK in his memory.
Chris's family will be taking part in their first fundraising event on Sunday 9th April 2017, the 'Walk for Parkinson's' a 6.5 mile walk around Welford Park, Berkshire.
Your money will help fund research into finding better treatments and ways to improve the quality of life for people with Parkinson's as well as finding a cure.
