Story
I'm running the 100km Cotswold Way Challenge at the end of June to raise funds for Sobell House, a distance I have never run before.
My mum Anne died of cancer in March this year having been looked after fantastically well by the lovely staff at Sobell House, a specialist hospice in Oxford. The experience of visiting her there opened my eyes to the incredibly difficult but valuable work that the staff in hospices do. My family were enormously grateful for their support as are thousands of other families each year and I would like to help them by raising as much money as possible.
For 42 years, Sobell House Hospice has been providing specialist palliative care to adults with advanced, progressive illnesses and supporting families facing loss. Each year, they provide more than 3,000 people in Oxfordshire with the care they need on their ward, day centre, in the local hospitals and in the community. By making a donation to my cause you are helping to make sure that more people can get the care they need.
