Our incredible team of runners in the Royal Parks Half Marathon will be raising vital funds to help the thousands of seriously ill children that come to GOSH every year.

Story

As many of you know i am running the Royal Parks half marathon with my son and my son-in-law to raise money for Great Ormond Street Charity. My first challenge will be to keep up with both of them, but of course we are doing this to raise money for a truly wonderful cause.

GOSH helps seriously ill children with a vast range of medical conditions. Everyday, 618 children and young people from across the UK arrive at the hospital. Despite the greatest challenges a child can face, the hospital is a place where being sick does not always mean being sad. And it's a place where you'll find - today and every day, some of the bravest people you could ever meet. This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support.

For me this one is also personal, my youngest granddaughter is receiving ongoing outpatient treatment at GOSH at the moment (she's doing really well), so as a family we have seen first hand just how lucky we are to have GOSH.
