Story
Leighton was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma aged just 13 years old. It is a very rare, aggressive form of cancer that sadly effects children and teenagers and very few survive due to the fact that not enough is known about this form of cancer yet and it's hard to diagnose.
Leighton is sadly proof of this and during his time of fighting this fast spreading form of cancer, Leighton always did what he could to help the medical professionals learn more about this disease. Leighton donated all his tumours that were removed to research and he agreed to have extra scans at the Royal Marsden Hospital. Leighton was the first child to be used in this country to test out a new scanning machine used for radiotherapy!
In his honour therefore we will continue to raise money to pay for research to find a cure for rhabdomyosarcoma as no child should suffer and go through what Leighton had too.
We will find a cure!!!!
