Story

Hi, I'm Heni, and I'm gearing up for an exciting year of challenges with a purpose. From tackling the Glasgow Winter Warmer 10K in February to conquering the 20 Along the Forth (a 20-mile run) in March, taking on the "Mighty Hike" in the Glasgow Kiltwalk in April, and culminating in the ultimate feat—a hike to Everest Base Camp in October.

These challenges are not just personal milestones; they're part of a larger journey to support a cause that's deeply meaningful to me. I've personally experienced how being outdoors can change your outlook on life, help you deal with difficulties, and uncover your own strengths.

This is why I'm fundraising for Venture Scotland, an organization passionate about helping young people through outdoor-based development programs. This allows young adults to make positive changes to their lives, develop their confidence and improve their physical and mental wellbeing.

By supporting my journey, you're not just helping me conquer physical challenges; you're contributing to creating opportunities for young individuals to find their own strengths through the transformative power of nature.

Thank you for joining me on this adventure for a cause that truly matters.

"Every young person in Scotland has the right to lead a happier, healthier and more fulfilled life. At Venture Scotland, we believe that this can be achieved for young people through participation in their unique personal development programmes lasting up to 12 months. Young people will improve their self-awareness, social awareness and confidence by doing weekly outdoor-based activities, life-skill sessions, 1-to1 support sessions and remote bothy residentials in a group environment." - Venture Scotland
