OK so here goes....on 22nd June 2018 HB and Ruthi are taking on Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in 24 hours!!! We both love a challenge and as most of you know we are always up for an adventure. This time I have decided to dedicate my efforts & donations to Cancer Research, UK. 

Did you know that 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with Cancer? Unfortunately the C word continues to plague most households and as it stands it is only a matter of time. We NEED to start finding a cure, a method to reduce cancer in our society and a treatment that works.  

A couple of weeks ago a lovely friend of mine popped in for a cuppa to share some sad, scary and devastating news that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. No symptoms, my age, a runner, a gorgeous mum with a young family and just like ME. Cancer makes you think. It stops you in your tracks, it forces you to reflect on the life you are living and the choices we have all made. This friend has inspired me to raise money for Cancer Research NOW as she embarks on her toughest year yet.

As most of you know, my dearest Dad lost his battle to Bowel Cancer aged 63 almost 4.5yrs ago. His battle was over 5 years long and he fought hard, he suffered incredibly and the side effects of Chemotherapy were simply devastating. That said he managed to live love and laugh through those toughest years, he travelled the world and taught me to make the most of every single minute, be surrounded by those you love and to never take ANYTHING for granted!

I am doing this challenge in memory of my DAD and know that he will be with me every step of the way.  

Cancer Research UK continues to pioneer research to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Their progress depends on our donations so please dig deep and share anything you can spare.
