Edna the kitten is in need of life saving surgery, 18 May 2021
We rescue over 400 cats each year to find them loving new homes.

Story

This is Edna, she is a beautiful, friendly and loving 8 week old rescue kitten.

Edna was born with a rare congenital condition known as a 'vascular ring anomaly', this is where a blood vessel is in an abnormal place - in Edna's case it has wrapped around her oesophagus, causing it to constrict to a very small size - meaning digesting food is incredibly difficult and she is on a strict liquid-only diet.

Edna requires emergency life-saving referral surgery. She is currently at extremely high risk of aspiration pneumonia and without this surgery, Edna will unfortunately die.

The surgery alone costs over £4,000. Please can you help us raise vital funds to give Edna the best chance in life - every little helps. If you can't donate, please share this page. All funds go directly to Bristol and Wales Cat Rescue.
