Help Leo to walk

Leo Leyland’s Appeal · 31 December 2018 ·
Hi
Thank you for looking at my Just Giving page. I'm going to be running the Hastings Half Marathon this March to raise money to go towards a life changing operation to help Leo walk.
Leo was born 10 weeks premature and suffered a pre birth haemorrhage in his brain resulting in him getting Hemplegia cerebral palsy. Because of his Hemiplegia Leo has high muscle tone in his leg and arm and that results in a form of toe poking and closed fist.
There is a life changing new pioneering operation that Leo can have called Selective Dorsal Rhizontmy (SDR). Unfortunately the NHS will not fund this and Leo will have to go private in America. Without this Leo is going to find it really difficult to be mobile for the rest of his life. All donations will pay for the operation in the USA, flights, accommodation and the intense physiotherapy which is mandatory.
The cost of the SDR operation with the founder Dr Park of the St. Louis children's hospital ranges between $46,000-$59,000. This is inclusive of physicians professional fees, hospital charges and 3 weeks of outpatient therapy.
Leo's parents would like to raise £70,000 which is a mighty big ask, so please donate what you can, Share and like his page. Tell your friends to do the same. we can all do this and help leo to walk.
Thank you
