Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page for Leo!
I only took up running as a hobby August this year and on the 1st of December 2019 I will be attempting to do my first ever half marathon and all for a good cause.
Leo is an amazing 10year old who has cerebral palsy, hydrocephalus and absent epilepsy. Before meeting him I didn’t know much about the disability and I’m sure I still have a lot to learn and feel it should be more widely recognized. I only got the chance to meet him earlier this year but he is an amazing kid full of laughter, determination and an inspiration.
Before Leo's surgery he spent a lot of time in his wheelchair unable to walk because of how tight his muscles were.
Last year Leo was in theatre and the outcome of how he would take to the surgery and if he would ever walk again was unknown. But with a lot of determination and hard work with his physio sessions and swimming he is getting around with his frame and even managing to take steps unaided.
Obviously the operations, hospital appointments, things needed to aid him like splints, walking frames etc, physio sessions and swimming as well as other things all come at a cost which is why I want to help raise money for Leo and the charity. So I hope you are able to show your support and donate what ever you can to help.
