Story
J has had a rocky start in life. He is nine years old and has had twenty-six operations, including two open heart surgeries, a tracheostomy and two oesophagus reconstructions. He also has cerebral palsy and hip dysplasia which is likely to need surgery in the near future. J is doing so well but desperately needs private physiotherapy to maximise his potential. Unfortunately our local NHS services are stretched to breaking point and they are unable to offer support. J's mobility is unfortunately declining due to the lack of suitable therapy and we are trying to raise money for orthotics to help support his back, legs and feet.
We are grateful to the NHS every day for saving our son’s life, and for the continued support they have given him, but there are limits to the services and equipment that they are able to fund, and as with everything, it seems to be such a postcode lottery.
J has so much potential but the therapies and equipment that will allow him to achieve it are so expensive. Whatever you feel that you could contribute would be so gratefully received and will be life changing for him!
We are also fundraising for J's big brother B, if you would like to donate to both boys, please see their joint page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/he-is-an-overcomer
