Story

Recent unprecedented rains in Sindh and Balochistan, Pakistan have caused widespread flooding and devastation. Millions including women, children and elderly have become uprooted and shelterless, having lost everything and living in misery. They have lost their crops, cattle, livelihood and all their belongings. There is a real threat of starvation, malnutrition, spread of disease and loss of life. The Sindh Doctors Association UK responding to this emergency situation wants to provide relief goods including food and ration supplies, tents, medicines, mosquito nets etc. through its volunteer sister organisations and partner NGOs directly operating in the affected areas in Sindh. The scale of the disaster is huge and the suffering continues. We are launching a renewed appeal to our friends, families and communities in the UK to come forward. Big or small, every penny counts. Your donation of £5 - £50 (or more) will go a long way in bringing relief and reducing the misery of people

Sindh Doctors Association has been serving the communities in Sindh since 1979. The basic aim is to improve the basic infrastructure in the health and education sectors. Access to health care is fundamental to our quality of life. It is essential in the daily struggle for survival for the poorest. Yet there are millions that live without basic services in health care and education. The ultimate goal is to provide quality basic education and skilled medical teams to improve these facilities for all the people to the highest level possible regardless of race, religion or gender.
