Purple Day 2021
Campaign by Epilepsy Action Australia (RCN ABN: 61 000 533 791)
Purple Day is a global initiative with thousands of people across Australia gathering within their community, education and corporate sectors during the month of March to raise much needed awareness and funds for those affected by epilepsy.

Story

Purple Day is a global initiative with thousands of people across Australia gathering within their community, education and corporate sectors during the month of March to raise much needed awareness and funds for those affected by epilepsy. Founded in 2008, by nine-year-old Cassidy Megan of Nova Scotia, Canada and motivated by her own struggles with epilepsy, Cassidy started Purple Day to get people talking about the condition and to let those impacted seizures know that they are not alone. She named the day, Purple Day after the internationally recognised colour for epilepsy, lavender. It is one of our major fundraising events for the year and by making a small donation or hosting your own online or offline fundraising event, you will be helping to brighten the lives of those impacted by epilepsy. The beauty of the awareness month is you can choose what you'd like to do on a day and time that suits you. Let's really spread the word and GO PURPLE!
