Story

Some of you may remember that in 2013 I ran my first ultra marathon to raise money for DEC Syria. I ran to draw a line under the episode of breast cancer I had in 2010. Unfortunately in 2014 I get another bout of Breast cancer and got diagnosed while I was training for the Classic Quarter. So on 13th June this year, 7 months after finishing treatment, I am attempting to show my body who's boss again by running from Lizard to Lands End on the Cornish Coastal Path.  While I've had a bad few years, I am blessed to live in the UK where I have been looked after by the wonderful NHS and cared for by my family and friends, where we all live a relatively charmed life. That's why I wanted to raise money for Distarters Emergency Committee again who help people in extreme and often hopeless circumstances, on this occasion responding to the Nepalese earthquake disaster. Please give generously.

I have included a few photos from my training runs of the beautiful Cornish coast and myGeorge dog, both of which have provided wonderful therapy after months of illness last year.

Thank you so much for your support.

Helen
