Story
Two years ago, I found a lump and have been on a journey ever since. I was incredibly lucky to catch it early & I didn't need chemotherapy or radiation treatment but only because I lost my girls instead. It's been a tough couple of years but now, 3 operations later, I am finally getting back to a normal life and looking forward, not backwards.
This is something I want to do in memory of my grandmother, Melba, my mother, Marlene (another survivor) and so many other ladies in my life. I've lost count how many of my friends and my Mum's friends have suffered this horrible disease - some have beaten it but too many didn't make it and that needs to change.
I hope by raising money like this, we can help move the research forward so that one day, we can beat this and our daughters and nieces and their children too won't have to worry about cancer in their lives.
