It's helped me stay fit - physically but also mentally. And we've all needed that, for sure. 🥰
So I've decided to take it one step further, and put all that outdoor exercise to use, to support others with their mental health.
A year ago I completed my first 5k in over 15 years .. but with all that outdoor time this year, and an amazing running group I have now upped my game ... and am attempting my first ever marathon, just two weeks before I turn 55! Yikes!!! 😱
I'm running the York Marathon to raise money for the Creative Mental Health Charity, PoetsIN. 💚💚💚
PoetsIN do the most amazing work to support individuals from all walks of life, and ages to improve their mental health through the power of the written and spoken word, as well as a supportive community.
They work with schools, universities, charities, businesses and the general public.
Their proven Creative Mental Health workshops make a really tangible difference to people's mental health, with 99% of participants seeing an improvements in their symptoms

£800 would pay for a 6 week workshop for 6 children, young people or adults.
I'm excited to be doing this ... .and a bit scared too if I'm honest.
It’s a long way .. and my feet, ankles and knees remind me of this regularly! But I'm determined to do this! 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
