Early this year I had the shock of being diagnosed with Breast cancer. I have now finished treatment & will have regular check ups.The  treatment I have received has been brilliant along with the support of my family & friends. Its true, you think it happens to others.You never think its going to happen to you. Trust me, if it does you will realise how much research & support etc there is, much of which is funded by charity donations. In my case, thankfully,it seems I have caught it early, but being diagnosed has been, & still is difficullt to handle at times. 

I have always put my hand in my pocket to help charities but now want to do something more, so I am walking the SHINE marathon in Manchester with my daughter Lauren & son Joe (late entry- no training!). We plan to do the full 26.2 miles,god help us!
