In June this year I am taking part in the London to Brighton cycle event to raise money for The British Heart Foundation. My sister, Sana and niece, Maria suffer from Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCM). The BHF supports research aiming to advance understanding of DCM and how best to treat it. They are carrying out the largest ever study of DCM, which will recruit 2,000 people with the condition to investigate how genes and lifestyle factors are linked to its development.
