Story
Hello!
Firstly i am terrible at keeping in touch with everyone but with 2 children under 2 as you might guess my hands are a bit full so apologies if i haven't been in touch for ages.
Anyway, i am running the great north run, i've never done it before, and am running for a brilliant charity called arc. It is the arthritis research campaign.
Loads of people dont know that its not just older people who are affected but it can affect all ages including little kiddies, which is just horrible. I cant imagine my 2 little boys not being able to run about and climb trees and play hide and seek and suffering from a terrible disease.
It makes you feel blessed that your children and family aren't affected but it breaks my heart to think what if it hadn't been this way. Anyway if you are like minded, and perhaps want to run the run but haven't got round to it this year, it would be great if you could contribute in some way.
Obviously we are in a recession and people are pulling in their purse strings and might not feel that they can give very much but anything you can would be lovely. I myself spend about a tenner a week on crap (magazines, sweets, chocolate, cans of pop etc), if you could just donate half of that and eat/drink/read half the crap a. you'll lose weight the same in £'s as you would weight over the 8 weeks left till the event (possibly) and b. you would be giving to a really worthy cause.
It would be lovely to hear from all the people who i havent spoke to or seen in ages so drop me a line.
Take care / best wishes.
Helen
