Story
Thanks for visiting my Race for Life page. As some of you know my Dad was diagnosed with Tonsillar cancer in January this year. Since then he has had some teeth removed, an operation on his neck and then 6 weeks of radiotherapy and chemotherapy. He completed the treatment at the beginning of May which left him unable to eat normally and extremely difficult to swallow. He was given a feeding tube and was told he may need it for the rest of his life. However on the 17th of June he felt ready to have the feeding tube removed and began to eat normally. On the 2nd of July he went for his review with the consultant to be told the amazing news that the cancer had gone and he is now in remission.
On Sunday 6th July I will be running the race for life in honour of my amazing Dad.
I'm not a runner and I hate exercise but have chosen to do the race for life in order to raise money for this charity and hopefully one day we will find a cure.
