Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
In August 2008, I stood on the sidelines of the London Triathlon in the pouring rain, watching my twin sister, Debbie, complete the Sprint distance course in a respectable time. It was only 3 months since I had part of my rib cage removed due to bone cancer and only 5 months having my second child, Isobel.
Needless to say, sibling rivalry took over and despite still feeling sore and achy, if not a little bit wonky, from my operation, I was determined that I would be part of the field in 2009.
So here I am, 9 weeks to go... It's 5 years since I did the Leeds Half Marathon, I haven't done front crawl since I was at school and I only cycle for fun, usually towing Arran and Isobel!
My main aims are to get round... safely, without doing myself a mischief and not finish last!
The course: 750m swim (Victoria Dock, River Thames!), 10km bike, 5km run.
