Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Saturday 20th May, I am joining forces with Mouse my partner and work colleagues Heather and Leanne, to climb Scafell Pike. Scafell Pike is England's Highest Mountain, at 3,209ft, in the Lake District, Cumbria. We are hoping to raise funds for a charity that supports those dogs who are not claimed by their owners after being found as a stray.
These are called the 'Forgotten Dogs or 'Death Row Dogs' and many are put to sleep after 7 days. Some are in poor states of health or have behaviour problems.
My chosen charity rescues these dogs and finds suitable kennel or foster accommodation so they have a chance at finding a forever home. Without donations to help, many more dogs would be simply destroyed after 7 days with no hope, or stay in kennels for months or years, suffering anxiety and depression without the hope of finding a foster home.
