I am doing a 22-mile walk through Nidderdale on 18th May to raise funds for Darley School Playground Appeal.  If you saw the image of the current playground I sent with the supporting email, you'll see that there's not much there at the moment.  Our plans are to install an outdoor stage/classroom; tyre park; mini-climbing wall; huge sandpit; and playground markings.

Peter and the boys are doing the 7-mile option, whilst I tackle the full distance--I don't know how I will feel the next day, but I really feel it is worth it for such a good cause.  Both boys have been or are at the school, and it has been very supportive of them, led by an inspirational headteacher--Ann Wheatcroft.  Other members of the PTFA are doing the walk as well, and so far this year we have raised well over £4,000 towards the playground from our various activities--not bad for a small school of 90-ish children!
