Story
Stop Press ... We made it! All 3 of us. conditions were not ideal - unbelievably windy along the longest stretch of the run - it felt like tredding water at times. Jill did so well for her first Half Marathon and came in at 2 hrs 1 min. I managed 2 hrs 2 mins (only 20 secs behind a PB) and Micky did a PB too.
It was a real challenge ... so any donations greatfully accepted!
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I know I have run the Alloa half before - but each time it gets harder - I only completed it last year because I was doing it for LAM Action.
This year I have real motivation and really need your support. Barbara - my beautiful mother in law is battleing a rare and agressive cancer with amazing strength and positivity supported by the brilliant Macmillan team, There are so many others I know in similar predicaments - fighters and survivors.
So every mile I waddle and plod could make a difference and support this cause!
It is also helped by the fact that I am being helped along the way by my fantastic Aunite Micky and a friend Jill.
Many thanks
Helen
