Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 26th September I ran the Berlin Marathon (that's right, all 26.2 miles of it!) in a time of 4:31:57. I chose to raise funds for the Disasters Emergency Committee and would like to say a massive THANK YOU to all of you who have so generously made a donation.

It's all to easy to forget what's happening on the other side of the world as the news channels shuffle the human disaster of Pakistan further and further down their agendas.

The Pakistan floods are still affecting millions of people - emergency aid is urgently required. 20% of the country is still under water and nearly 8.6 million children have now been affected - that's more than the entire population of Greater London.

Here's what your donation could provide: £25 will buy 5,000 chlorine tablets for safe drinking water // £50 will feed two families for a month // £100 pays for a sturdy family tent.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now, to make a difference to people in real need right now.

Big thanks,
Helen
