Story
TuVida is a not-for-profit organisation and was formerly known as the ‘Carers Trust East Midlands. They are registered with the Care Quality Commission and provide care in a range of different settings to those who need it.
My uncle had lived in the same house for 84 years and despite reaching the age of 91, he was succumbing to the effects of prostate cancer. He never wanted to go into hospital and certainly didn’t want to spend his last days there. His wife died some years ago and he
had no family apart from myself and my brother (who lives in Edinburgh). In his last days, the carers from Tu Vida visited four times a day from morning to night to clean him, feed him and give him some company to supplement the visits from myself and his private carer. He passed away on 17th December 2021. The carers were always friendly, and I was very impressed with their professionalism despite them working long hours in a demanding job.
Last year I did a 1000km bike challenge throughout the summer to raise funds for my local sport clubs and I want to do the same challenge again this summer to raise funds for the fantastic care company Tu Vida.
Please help me raise at least £1000 by donating to my ‘Just Giving’
page.
Many Thanks
