Story
Thanks for visiting my page. I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation and I'd be so grateful for your support.
On Sunday 14th April I will be running the Manchester marathon and raising money for the British Heart Foundation. Tackling the 26.2 miles is going to be tough and a huge challenge both mentally and physically but I am determined to do this to raise money for research into cures and treatments for the millions of people who suffer with heart and circulatory diseases.
The British Heart Foundation is a charity which holds a special place in my heart (pardon the pun), having lost my Grandad John on the 21st December 2004 as a result of heart disease. Other members of my family and families across the UK have since been given a second chance of survival as a result of the continued research and progression in cures and treatments carried out by the British Heart Foundation.
Heart and circulatory disease affects 7.6 million people living in the UK meaning that more than half of us will suffer from a heart or circulatory condition in our lifetime. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures.
My family and grandad John will be at the forefront of my mind when I complete the Manchester marathon. This will be not only for them but for others that also suffer from heart and circulatory disease.
Every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target.
Thank you!
