Dear friends, family and anyone else who is reading this,

I must be mad but I'm doing the Great North Run again!Hoping to improve my time by at least 10 mins this year (so 2hrs 15mins or less) and be able to walk normally the next day.

This year I'm running in memory of my dad who died from pancreatic cancer 2 weeks after last year's run. Please sponsor me as much as you can to help Pancreatic Cancer UK go some way to improving the survival rates of this cancer.(see left)

Watch out for me on BBC1 on Sunday 5th October....race no. 36384 on a green       background. Not sure what colour t-shirt I'm wearing yet! Hope the sun shines like it did last year.
