Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In the last 7 years I've become hugely aware of the great work St Richard's Hospice do. In 2008 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and following surgery, chemo and radiotherapy I met some wonderful ladies who'd all been through the same. We "starred" in a calendar to raise funds for another charity. Unfortunately, 2 of the calendar girls are no longer with us, but both benefited from the great work of St Richard's. My 6 year appointment with my oncologist should've been a happy one but instead I received the news I'd got ovarian cancer and have since had more chemo and surgery. My treatment is still ongoing but I am fitter than I've been in a long time and with encouragement from friends we are now training to walk 21 miles to raise funds for St Richard's.

Tony has been the most amazing husband during the last 7 years and I couldn't have done it all without him. He's also doing the walk to continue his support for me.
