As many of you know in just a few weeks time I will be running the London Marathon.  I am really excited to have this opportunity and so very grateful that I have the health and fitness to do it.

In February 2009, at the age of 68, my Mum was given the news that no one wants to hear: "you have between three and six months left to live".  Her determination and zest for life meant that she held on for an additional three months before passing away in November 2009.

I am running to raise money for Cancer Research so that they can continue their fantastic work in helping people to beat cancer.
