Story
I have had a challenging two years and I made a decision that 2016 was going to be huge! I had big health and fitness goals, I had a big sporting goal to achieve Ironman and I wanted to become the successful business woman I have always aspired to be. I also wanted to give something back. When I came across the charity Dot Com Children's Foundation, I knew I wanted get involved.
The work that the charity does to teach values (something I feel is so lacking in young people these days) and encourage children to be the best they can be, build their confidence, help them to make good life decisions and achieve their dreams was so powerful. It helps children who are in vulnerable situations to identify people they can trust to talk to and be confident to speak out about what they are going through. Some of the stories that have come about from the work of this charity are truly amazing.
Having struggled with my own confidence and self belief and goals at my age, I thought it was amazing that youngsters should be taught how to do this at such an early stage in their lives when they have the chance to really make a difference. It is just such a powerful programme. I am delighted to be able to support the charity by raising £1,000 by September 15th and I am so pleased you have decided to support me in my mini mission. Thank you so much xxx
