Story
As some of you may know, Helen ran her first half-marathon last year in Cambridge and did so with style, grace and aplomb. So this year, she’s doing it again but this time with something of a handicap – namely Jim. Yes, that Jim. The round puffed-up version with the little legs. And they’re doing it twice in consecutive weeks, starting with Paris on March 3 and grinding on to Cambridge on March 10.
In addition to the fun and general excitement that you can apparently get from shuffling painfully around the banks of the Seine and the Cam, they’re doing it to raise money for Cancer Research. Unfortunately, everyone probably has some story about cancer’s unfairness and the fist-clenching anguish it causes. For Helen, it claimed her father far, far too early so Jim and their girls never got to meet him.
Anyway, slip ‘em a fiver or whatever and they’ll try not to let you or Cancer Research down.
