For those of you who don't know, my amazing mum, Gillian, is one of those ladies who is currently facing and fighting Breast Cancer. Right Now, breast cancer is at a tipping point. More women are surviving. But more are being diagnosed than ever before. One in eight women in the UK will face breast cancer in their lifetime. And every 45 minutes, another woman dies from the disease. By the time I do the Great North Run in September, the goal is for Mum to have fought the horrible disease and made a full recovery. But until then, thanks to the advanced treatments, she is staying strong and fighting every day with a big smile!
