In July 2021 I will be taking part in a Raleigh International Expedition, joining young people from across the globe to work on a 4 week long sustainable development programme based in Costa Rica.
Raleigh International is a youth-driven sustainable development charity who inspire communities and young people around the world to create lasting change. Its programmes focus on providing access to safe water and sanitation, protecting vulnerable environments, creating sustainable livelihoods, building resilient communities, and ensuring young people are connected, valued partners in development.
During my time in Costa rica, I will be contributing towards alleviating poverty by working on natural resource management, environmental protection and community-led education projects.
Before I go, I am aiming to raise £2,365 to go towards Raleigh International's work in Costa Rica. To fundraise for this, I have challenged myself to complete the
Three Peaks Challenge - where I will be climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours. If I am unable to travel across the UK due to Covid-19 travel restrictions, I will instead be completing the 3 highest peaks within Scotland. All money raised will go directly towards Raleigh International as I will be funding my own costs!
To find out more about Raleigh International's work, you can visit their website at

Any donations (no matter how big or small!) will be hugely appreciated :)!!
