Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Easter Sunday we lost a dear friend, Adam, to Motor Neurone Disease. Anyone who knew Adam would know him to be an exceptional person, a great friend and a brilliant father and husband. He believed life was for living and made the most of every opportunity he had. Adam’s mantra was ‘life is for living’ and ‘if not now, when?’.
Adam was always on the go- fit enough to run the Marathon Des Sables in Morocco where competitors run six marathons (156 miles) in six days in 40 degree heat across the Sahara. Even when he had his diagnosis, he was determined to cycle the equivalent of the Tour de France whilst he could, something he managed to achieve!
With this in mind I am convinced he would be very amused by my attempts at fitness. From a very low starting point I am aiming to complete a 100 Challenge. That is 40km of walking, 30km of rowing, 20km of cycling and 10 hours of surfing by the 5th September!
I am aiming to raise £500 for the Doddie Weir Foundation which is committed to eradicating Motor Neurone Disease through research.
Thank you for your support. Wish me luck!
