Having recently re-discovered cycling again, I am planning to complete the 11-mile route mapped out by Safe and Sound around five Derby parks by July 15th 2020.

I came across this fundraiser and hope that my personal challenge will raise a few pounds for Safe and Sound, and that it will also help me to lose a few pounds too!!!

Any young person is at risk of being exploited. Abusers do not discriminate based on ethnicity, social background or where they live.It can be someone they know, a stranger or even an organised gang. What begins as a normal relationship quickly sucks them into a world of criminal or sexual activity, often both. Safe & Sound provide vital support to children across Derbyshire who are at risk of being exploited, helping them back to a place of safety and dignity with dedicated 1-2-1 work that lowers their risk and transforms their future.
