Story
Cancer is a cruel disease. Sadly, over the past few years, my family has experienced more than its fair share of heartbreak at its hands. Too many times I have stood by, helpless, while so many people I love have fought bravely but lost their battle and then watched as the people left behind have had to face a world that has been shattered. So I decided to do something to help.
On May 22nd and 23rd, I will be walking 100km along the Jurassic Coast to raise money to support those facing cancer.
I will be walking for everyone who has faced or will have to face cancer in their lifetime. Some of the people whose memories will help me along the way are: my grandad, the kindest and gentlest man I have known; my aunty Jackie, who made the world a more beautiful place; my aunty Doreen, a force to be reckoned with; my uncle John, an amazing landlord, dad and grandad who threw the best parties; Gemma, who dedicated so much of her life to caring for others; Ivor, as bright as a sunflower and to grandparents that I never had the chance to know.
Please give what you can.
