Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses – who we continually support and develop – provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease.

Story

1 person in every three minutes is diagnosed with dementia in the UK and its impact on the person and their family is challenging to say the least.

I have experienced dementia with my nan and we felt completely helpless as she sadly deteriorated.
With Dementia UK, they help to provide expert nurses to provide vital support to the individual suffering and their families. They also help in facing the challenges dementia brings with less fear and more confidence.

Raising funds for this charity will make expert nurses more accessible to those in need. Because this is such a worthy cause, I am hoping you will be kind enough to make a kind donation, whilst I run 26.2 miles in the process!
