Story
Thanks for visiting my page. I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation and I'd be so grateful for your support.
One week after Kay was born Ziggy got a phone call from his mum. I was a bit agitated because Kay wasn’t settling and we were due to go to lunch with my sister so she could meet Kay for the first time. I walked in to hurry him up but he turned and looked at me “My Dad’s just died”.
Homi had had a massive heart attack that morning. There was nothing that could be done. He had been down to meet Kay just a few days before and the shock to all of us was profound.
He was so proud of his first grandchild and would have loved to have met his other grandchildren and see them growing up. I’m so thankful he got to hold and cuddle Kay once and she loves to hear stories about him. So I’m fundraising in his memory. He was such an outgoing, funny, thoughtful and inspiring individual and I’m very lucky to have had him as a father-in-law.
The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thank you!
