Story

Most of you probably can't believe that I (yes, I!) will be running the Müggelsee Half Marathon next month. Having never participated in a sporting event in the past and not exactly being the sporty type.. I would understand if a few of you are giggling at the thought of ME running 21 km!

Well... that's exactly how my mum reacted when I told her I would like to run a half marathon one day, after having gone to the gym twice and thinking I was suddenly an athlete. Though always supportive and constantly telling me that I could achieve anything if I put my mind to it, I guess this was just something that she didn't really think I would put my mind to (Can you blame her though..).

I have therefore decided to run a half marathon in her memory, to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity, and complete the things I told her I would do. From their ongoing research and development of a cure, my beautiful mum was able to be treated and lived many extra years with her tumour, before sadly being suddenly taken from us 3 years ago.

Together we can help to make a difference to sufferers worldwide, to fund research and save lives. I don't have a goal time or fundraising target because, in the wise words of my mum "It doesn't matter as long as you try your hardest and give it your all".

Thank you for any donations that you are able to make, it means the world to me x

*Despite the current situation, this event has been confirmed to still be taking place. Should that change, I will update you all and be sure to find an alternative.
