Story
In April, after three years of applications and two years of rejection, I am finally doing London Marathon. This is a big deal, at least to me. Two difficult marathons previous (possibly due to a lack of sufficient training) have given me the kick I needed to make sure that for London Marathon I put in the effort to do this properly.
Seeing as its no easy feat, these efforts should not be wasted.
I have decided to fundraise for Charlie Waller Memorial Trust, a charity all about raising awareness of depression, breaking the taboo and helping to improve support for those in need of it. I have seen friends and colleagues suffer through this traumatic and difficult experience, either directly or through support of sufferers of depression. I have seen how destructive this can be on the lives of all those involved. Charlie Waller Memorial Trust is a charity very close to their heart, as such to mine too, so I would like to do what I can to support them.
Please please do your bit too and dig deep to sponsor me for the London Marathon. Not only will you be motivating me to make sure I run it and run it hard (including keeping me on track with 16 weeks of hardcore training) but you'll be supporting this fantastic and worthy cause.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Thanks
