VS North Yorkshire are launching their 2021 Festive Appeal on Monday 4th October. To raise money for the appeal I will be attempting to cycle the equivalent of the number of miles from York to Lapland, a total of 1,309 miles, to symbolically collect presents from Santa's workshop, and I would hugely appreciate your sponsorship for this challenge.

I will cover the miles, out and about around York on my bike, and at the gym when the weather is grim. I will be helped and supported by my son Ben and my North Yorkshire team mates.

As an Independent Victim Advocate for Victim Support in North Yorkshire, I have seen the impact of crime first hand. The effects can be devastating and can impact emotionally, physically and financially, which is why the Festive Appeal is so important. The money raised will be used to buy gifts and care packages for victims of crime who have received support from Victim Support North Yorkshire this year.

Often the effects of crime mean that families are unable to provide much in the way of festive cheer. We believe that offering a suitable gift or treat can make all the difference and help victims on their cope and recovery journey after crime.
