Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I will be running Race for Life on 15th July in memory of my brother-in-law Phil.
My brave, BRAVE brother-in-law, Phil (or Uncle Tij as my son always called him, it took him ages to learn to say Phil) lost his brave fight against a malignant brain tumour in October 2011. He had just turned 30 years old and been married to my sister for just over 2 years. In the two years between diagnosis and Phil passing away I never once saw him break down, complain or say one negative comment about what he was going through. He still had smiles for us even through the toughest of times and always seemed more worried about everyone else than himself, I have honestly never seen bravery like it. However, I couldn't help but thinking he shouldn't have to be brave, he shouldn't have to be in pain, he shouldn't have to be going through this at all. So please give generously, to remember my wonderful brother-in-law and to, hopefully, find a cure for this horrible disease. Noone should have to watch someone they love battle, or devastatingly, lose their battle, with this dreadful disease.
Goodnight Phil xxx
