Story
Today (13th December 2020) Leah has cut her hair off for The Little Princess Trust. This has been something Leah has wanted to do for a few years and finally she has grown her hair so she can donate 13 inches for them to make a wig for a child with cancer or another condition. Due to self-isolation and then lockdown, Leah has had to cancel 2 appointments but the day finally arrived! So proud of Leah for donating her beautiful hair so she can put a smile on a little girl's face.
Originally we were going to just donate the hair, having fundraised earlier in the year for The Alzheimer's Society and family and friends being so generous there. However, when we looked on The Little Princess Trust's website we realised that it's not just about the hair donation, each wig costs £550 to make so we decided we would love to help them raise enough money to make Leah's hair into a wig. So please even if you can only spare a pound or two we would very much appreciate your donation and I know The Little Princess Trust would too. Here is a little bit more info from them...
When a child loses their hair to cancer or another condition, we'll be there with a free, real hair wig to help restore their confidence and identity. We won't stop until the research that we fund ends childhood cancer forever. Promise. Please visit us at www.littleprincesses.org.uk to find out how you can help us give young people back what cancer takes away. The Trust relies solely on the efforts of enthusiastic community fundraisers. We receive no formal funding. Please help to raise money for us so that we can help more families.
